v.in.ogr can have many SPECIAL situations when a simple import is more complicated.

For instance. Importing shape files with no PRJ association.

What about an area to enter additional options that could do the same as

ogr2ogr -t_srs WGS84 out.shp in.shp

but from the GUI instead of command line
