[GRASS5] GRASS Modules and Add-ons

Hi All!

A few years ago there was a discussion on converting GRASS from a single
distribution to a bunch of modules and extensions so that a user can
install only those modules that he needs.  I wonder what is the current
thinking of the GRASS core developers and if there are still plans to do
smth like that?
