Subject: NVIZ: 3d navigation fine tuning please

Platform: GNU/Linux/i386
grass obtained from: Trento Italy site
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources

When dealing with volumes in NVIZ (esp for animations), extra low gears for puck and altitude control are needed. The sliders are not up to the task. Even (optional) numeric input of the postion values would help!
