In order to get (vector) postscript output, I use d.vect.thematic,
save the results as a group and then use the printing dialog in the
GIS Manager to print it to postscript.

It would also be possible to directly create a ps.map instructions
file from d.vect.thematic, but this seems to be overkill since the
printing dialog exists.

However, some d.vect commands are not implemented in ps.map (e.g.
d.vect.chart), so this solution is obviously limited.
