[GRASS5] Jpeg2000

This may have been asked, but I don¹t remember seeing it ... I am doing a
little research on jpeg2000 format and don¹t know enough about it with
regards to grass.  

Background :
I¹m using Mac OS X 10.3.9
I¹m currently still using Grass 5.7

I have a few questions :

1] It is supported in Grass 6.o only?
2] What call do I use to create a Jp2 file and can I get a world file from
it?
