Anyone know anything about the history of
 grass6/raster/r.slope.aspect/r_sl_asp_northangle_diffs.tar.gz
?

It has been carried in CVS since 1999.

Someone pointed out that cartographers may think of aspect
at North=0, clockwise, but r.slope.aspect is defined from
a mathmatical point of view (East=0, counterclockwise).

The included are diffs to add a -g flag to produce aspect
maps this way.

several modules (like d.rast.arrow) have a type= option to select.
Maybe it just causes more confusion to add a -g flag?


suggestion:
post the tarball to the bug tracker as a wish and remove the .tar.gz
from CVS.
