Subject: d.m/gis.m: 'show attribute columns' button doesn't show anything

grass obtained from: CVS
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources
GRASS Version: cvs 2006.01.17

although my vector file has a datable connected (DBF)...

GRASS 6.1.cvs (xy):~ > v.info -c vect_area_smooth
Displaying column types/names for database connection of layer 1:
INTEGER|cat
INTEGER|value
CHARACTER|label

...the "show attribute columns" button doesn't show anything in both d.m and gis.m. This bug has been present since I've ever tried it the first time few weeks ago in d.m.

Also: a new fancy button in gis.m, "show data" doesn't show anything - not yet implemented or a bug?
