[GRASS-dev] v.in.ogr where

Hallo,
I wonder, how complicated would be to implement option where= in v.in.ogr, so one could import e.g. only part of 
postgis table to GRASS. 

Currently you have to import the whole table and run v.select on it,
which takes too much time and system resources.

Could anybody point me to example, how to do thing like this or, better,
could anybody implement it :-) ?
