grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources

Hi,
   I am Hemant Moharir.
   I installed Grass6.0.2.I set location and Mapset and DataBase as follows.
   location:- spearfish60
   Mapset:-spearfish60Test
   Database:/root/Desktop/Data/GrassData

  Plz give me guideline for next setting.
  I have tif images and also .shp file.
  Then how show all these files in Grass.
