oh, and by the way, IMO translucency is the neat way to go for bubble
plots, not sorting by size before rendering and drawing the little ones
on top (can lead to coin toss overlap results; you lose any order/time
info in the data).
e.g. study these two:

days ago) which demonstrates it quite well.
