code I item #395, was opened at 2007-05-09 13:03
Status: Open
Priority: 3
Submitted By: Jochen Gaedcke (gaedcke)
Assigned to: Nobody (None)
Summary: can't display raster maps
Issue type: module bug
Issue status: None
GRASS version: CVS HEAD
GRASS component: None
Operating system: Linux
Operating system version: SuSe 10.2
GRASS CVS checkout date, if applies (YYMMDD): 070509

Initial Comment:
Trying to display raster maps by gis-manager gives a white monitor.
Output Window shows no entries.
Synchronous display of a vector map does work, output is in that case either,
clicking  "show aktive layers"-button:
g.pnmcomp in=31031.4.ppm mask=31031.4.pgm opacity=1.00 background=255:255:255 width=642 height=385 output=31031.1.ppm
Or, clicking "reload all layers" (don't know the real name while using the german version):

<button>d.rast map=PisteFotoRect at fluggelaende -o

PNG: GRASS_TRUECOLOR status: TRUE

PNG: collecting to file: /home/joc/Data/grassdata/FlugplatzAltdorf/fluggelaende/.tmp/linux-joc/31031.0.ppm,

     GRASS_WIDTH=642, GRASS_HEIGHT=385

<button>d.vect map=sicherheitsstreifen at fluggelaende color=0:0:0 lcolor=0:0:0 fcolor=170:170:170 display=shape type=point,line,boundary,area icon=basic/circle size=5 layer=1 lsize=8 xref=left yref=center llayer=1

PNG: GRASS_TRUECOLOR status: TRUE

PNG: collecting to file: /home/joc/Data/grassdata/FlugplatzAltdorf/fluggelaende/.tmp/linux-joc/31031.0.ppm,

     GRASS_WIDTH=642, GRASS_HEIGHT=385

<button>g.pnmcomp in=31031.4.ppm mask=31031.4.pgm opacity=1.00 background=255:255:255 width=642 height=385 output=31031.1.ppm

If I try to display the maps using the terminal I get the following:

GRASS 6.3.cvs (location):~ > d.rast map=map at mapset -o
memory access error
GRASS 6.3.cvs (location):~ >

Compiling showed errors in r.terraflow and v.in.dwg which had no effect on this in former versions.

Thanks for help
