 AFAICT the example given in the r.what.colors help page isn't working:

 #spearfish
 grass64> g.region -d
 grass64> r.what.color input=elevation.dem value=1500
 1500: *
 grass64> r.what.color input=fields value=4
 4: 135:84:180
 }}}
 ??
