 yup, still stuck. I just updated the min utm zone so now it is stuck at 1
 not zero.

 I added a debug message, val.isdigit() is failing L730 hence the reset and
 it not allowing me to go on. I tried to print 'val' to the terminal but it
 came back empty (?)
