a group of students contacted me, asking the following:

Could you give us a listing of the methods used for Raster Map Creation,
Edition, Deletion and Vector Map Creation, Edition, Deletion. We would need
these because we will be creating our own Java Interface for Grass and these
are the principal methods we would need to use for our project. (Example usage
of these methods would also be helpful)

Besides indicating the names of the modules, I wonder how to provide
more. Eventually a basic JAVA-SWIG wrapper would be good to enable
people to start...
For Python we have a couple of examples now, but I am unaware of
recent JAVA examples (I mean the direct use of GRASS, not JGRASS).
