if you use the terminal prompt type "history". the file is stored in
$MAPSET/.bash_history.

if you run commands from the GUI Cmd> prompt, no idea.

if you run commands from the GUI windows, probably not.

see "g.manual variables" for instructions to automatically log errors
into a file called GIS_ERROR_LOG.
