Not AFAIAC. To me the main thing which is missing is a better
(or better promoted) FAQ entry telling linux users how to mount
portable hard drives and MS Windows filesystem mounts as their
user account, either with `mount` or by editing /etc/fstab.
I do not recall hearing complaints from Mac users wrt this,
so it is likely their Volumes get mounted as the user and not
as root or some random UID.
There is no need to break team-usage and remove the safety
checks where are there for your benefit in order to make things
easier for single-users. Many software struggle to stick collaborative-ware on in hindsight, we have it built in from the
begining and should be proud and promote it as one of our
strengths.

It doesn't matter. They do not have to be mutually exclusive goals. With work we can fix the usability annoyances you
describe without breaking the well developed model. Partly
with code, partly with better documentation/education about
what is going on, why, and how to deal with it.

mapset is locked" error message every day or two :)
