Here's my configuration call:
./configure --enable-debug --with-nls --with-wxwidgets --with-python
--with-sqlite --with-readline --with-geos --with-freetype
--with-freetype-includes=/usr/include/freetype2 --with-cxx
--with-pthread --with-proj-share=/usr/share/proj/
