hm, and what's the purpose or `.grass.bashrc` I thought it should be a
place for GRASS-related (bash) env variables (for G7 it should be
probably `.grass7/bashrc`). Why to modify ~/.bashrc or ~/.profile
directly (it seems to me quite invasive;-)
