 I mean, has GRASS+MSys ever worked on Vista or Windows7? It has worked
 fine for me on XP for years too.

 I wonder if using the latest versions of MSys helps? (but they seem to
 have made it rather hard to install now) Surely we are not the only ones
 with this problem.
