 From what I can tell, 3D vertices are read
correctly by v.external now, and the data's Z
extent is also set correctly. Great.

Would it be possible to implement the same
behaviour in v.in.ogr, i.e. have it auto-
matically read Z data from 3D sources, instead
of having to set the "-z" flag manually?

Or would that change the expected behaviour too
much for a 6.4.x release?
