 r.info lsat_composite tells about the description

   Data Description:
     generated by r.composite

 Can this be used to identify composite maps?

 Another option is to issue a warning without showing colortable dialog
 something like "no color table entry for the map because of composite etc"

 The limit can be calculated using a MAX_COLOR_GROUP that can be set to
 50/100 (or maximum color groups supported in existing rules) by default

 Also MAX_COLOR_GROUP can be modified in setting by user

 Hope this make sense
