 there is already a lot of registry logic in the wingrass-installer, see
 i.e.

 https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/browser/grass/branches/releasebranch_6_4/mswindows
 /GRASS-Installer.nsi#L204

 so if it's known for what to search in the registry (differences
 betweenwinvista and win 7 ?),  it should be possible to check this during
 wingrass-installation.
