that's copied from an old bug report; Debian builds of modern versions
are ok for all of alpha, amd64, armel, armhf, i386, ia64, kfreebsd-amd64,
kfreebsd-i386, mips, mipsel, powerpc, powerpcspe, s390, sh4, and sparc.
