 The Windows binary for GRASS 7.0 beta 3 has not been compiled with the
 laszip library compiled into liblas.  While it can read the LAS format
 well, it cannot read the compressed version ( LAZ) that is commonly used
 for download.

 I feel it would be a worthwhile enhancement to add this capability to the
 windows binary.

 The laszip library is licensed under the LGPL and is available at
 http://www.laszip.org/
