Comment:

 I'm not sure in which version but the wx-based histogram tool (not
 `d.histogram`) has ''Log scale'' option for both axes.

 Plot options (yellow wheel) > Plot settings > Axis settings > X-Axis > Log
 scale
 }}}

 The remaining issues are that `d.histogram` does not support this and that
 wx-based histogram tool might be replaced by matplotlib-based tool and the
 feature must be kept. Anyway, problem fixed, closing ticket.
