Hi Markus, Ivan, Martin,

I just installed version 7.0.0+1svn63885~ubuntu12.04.1 (Ubuntu 12.04
32bits), and the problem with version persists:

Launching <wxpython> GUI in the background, please wait...
Unable to get GRASS version
Unable to get GRASS version

GRASS 7.0.0 (pinhel):~ >  g.version -g --v
version=7.0.0svn
date=2014
revision=00000
build_date=2014-12-31
build_platform=i686-pc-linux-gnu

GRASS 7.0.0 (pinhel):~ > g.extension -c -a
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/grass70/scripts/g.extension", line 1088, in <module>
    version = grass.version()['version'].split('.')
KeyError: 'version'


Moreover, it continually crashes the g.extension, as soon as I start GRASS.
