It might actually be interesting to explore existing web APIs for
meteorological data. ogimet provides one[1], but I think there are
others (e.g. Meteomanz.com [2]). Metaf2xml also seems to provide access
to the different APIs [3].
This might allow to automagically get the visibility data from the
nearest station for the date and time closest to image data and time.
Just an idea for someone to work on in the future...
