[GRASS-dev] New GRASS GIS addon: v.stream.order

Dear GRASS Users,

As some of you might already have noticed, there is a new GRASS GIS add-on
available, called v.stream.order:
https://grass.osgeo.org/grass70/manuals/addons/v.stream.order.html

This module computes various types of stream order (Strahler, Shreve,
Scheidegger Drwal) of stream network vector maps. Specifically, stream
order is calculated for each sub-network as identified by their respective
outlet vector points. At its current state, v.stream.order works on GRASS
GIS 7.1svn.

The module v.stream.order includes a comprehensive manual and a testsuite
and is available via from the GRASS add-on SVN repository
https://svn.osgeo.org/grass/grass-addons/grass7/vector/v.stream.order/

Maybe a future extension of v.stream.order will also allow to consider more
complex networks that include e.g. loops and interconnections.

The module v.stream.order has been developed in the scope of the BiodiERsA
project FISHCON (Project partner: IGB Berlin) and was programmed and
implemented by Geoinformatikbüro Dassau GmbH, Soeren Gebbert.

I hope the tool is also of use for some of your future analysis.
