Comment (by mankoff):

 Would it be possible to support this by making {{{r.mapcalc}}} a wrapper,
 which replaces the {{{LHS}}} with something unique (if it is detected on
 the {{{RHS}}}, and then as a final step, setting the user {{{result}}} to
 the LHS-unique variable?
