 A search of the Internet yields many websites and blog posts dealing with
 rainbow color table and the message seems to be quite clear: avoid using
 it. See for example [https://eagereyes.org/basics/rainbow-color-map How
 The Rainbow Color Map Misleads].

 The issue with having it as a default is that it is a sign of an approval.
 Sometimes people even consider rainbow color table appealing which makes
 it even more dangerous default because "it is default selected by the
 smart software creators and I like it, so let's not change it."
