Moritz,

thank you for the notice. Today I submitted optimized v.kriging together
with the pdf file summarizing preliminary case studies (linked from the
manual).

I created the "maintenance mode", although this was not an optimal
strategy, to keep the version with native R-trees in the repository
(instead of previous version based on kd-trees from PCL library). I will
not branch them from now on.
