 Now north arrow and scale bar display properly after displaying a legend,
 but the map disappears from the wx display and I need to re-render.

 I tried this sequence of commands:

 d.mon wx0
 d.rast elevation
 d.legend raster=elevation
 d.northarrow
 }}}
