I would like to suggest a modification (even for G6) for the<br>
Location Wizard:<br>
<br>
When defining a new location from an existing dataset (like SHAPE<br>
or GeoTIFF with proper metadata), it creates the location and then<br>
brings you back to the  original startup screen, then you can "login"<br>
into GRASS. But.. no maps there. So (new) users will be confused.<br>
<br>
Change proposal:<br>
Before reaching the startup screen again, ask if to import the map<br>
which has been used for creating the location. Yes: do it; no: return<br>
to startup screen.<br>
