<div>It should not matter how many different installations of GRASS you have on a computer. Each one runs in its own environment. On the Mac especially, all the files for a version are contained in a *.app. GRASS should not be looking somewhere else for them. </div>

It really seems that you have two GRASS version mixed at the other computer. I'm not sure how Mac app works. I would say that libraries and/or python packages from some old version are on PATH (or similar variable) and are used by the newly compiled and installed
GRASS.</div>
