[GRASS-PSC] Fwd: [GSoC 2021 - Urgent] Feedback Required Regarding Disbursal of GSoC Org Payments/Mentor Stipend to the Mentors

I would likely vote for the funds going to the mentors. However, as for
myself, even if we get the slots, I can't get the money legally anyway, so
I would have to choose GRASS budget for my part. Depending on the
particular GSoC project or mentor combo, identifying the main mentor may
not be clear, so that would be a small hurdle in distributing, but I have
seen other projects in similar context simply letting the main person (in
our case the mentor submitting reviews) distribute the money as they see
fit and I think we would manage that. As for putting it to the GRASS
budget, I don't see a need to keep the money as dedicated to a particular
purpose partially for simplicity and partially because we often focus the
budget on "collaborative development activities" anyway.
