I already sponsored some myself as a personal donation for FOSS4G Europe in Mostar, but this time I?d like to ask for support from the project to cover the cost. I would take them to the OSGeo booth and also distribute them at GRASS-related talks (3 of them) during the event. If you are for it, please let me know how many you think I should take. If there is a box of left-over forest green ascii-art GRASS t-shirts from an earlier conference somewhere I'd be happy to buy one of those too. :-) (alt. how are people's experience with Redbubble? How much of the money goes back to the project?) Also I'm happy to help out at the booth as needed. Did you have any hack-a-thon plans for the workshops or community days? regards from the very far south pacific, Hamish From veroandreo at gmail.com Wed Oct 22 05:38:06 2025 From: veroandreo at gmail.com (Veronica Andreo) Date: Wed, 22 Oct 2025 09:38:06 -0300 Subject: [GRASS-PSC] GRASS stickers - FOSS4G 2025 In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Hi Alen and Hamish, It?s great to hear from both of you! Alen, thanks for bringing this up! It would indeed be great to start spreading the new GRASS logo with stickers at the international FOSS4G :) There?s an item in the budget for that, so I believe the project can cover it this time: https://grasswiki.osgeo.org/wiki/GRASS_GIS_Budget_2025. Since the conference is getting close, perhaps you could go ahead with the order and then request reimbursement? @Vashek, what do you think? The funds are still available in OpenCollective. >From our experience at the dev summit in May, I can recommend ordering from StickerMule: https://www.stickermule.com/products/die-cut-stickers (glossy paper IIRC, they looked much much better!). Stickers tend to disappear fast at conferences, so I?d suggest ordering at least 200-300. Also, don?t put all of them out at once on the first day :) @Vashek, do you have other suggestions regarding the order process? @Hamish, I?m not aware of any remaining t-shirts with the ASCII logo. In the last couple of years, either Martin or the NCSU folks have printed shirts locally with the GRASS GIS "grass" logo. If any are left, they?re probably still at NCSU. For the dev summit, Vashek ordered from Redbubble - they turned out well. It?s not a big income stream for the project, but still something :) Cheers!
