[GRASS-PSC] State of GRASS - FOSS4G 2026 - JP - Hiroshima

Hi all,

(here is a fine-tuned copy paste from last years mail)

Today I got approval to attend FOSS4G 2026 in Hiroshima, and since the call
for presentations for the General Sessions is open until March 16, 2026 I
wanted to check if anyone is already planning to give the State of GRASS
talk.

If not, I’d be happy to take it on, if you’re OK with that. I would need
some help to put it together, though (which version to upgrade, which is
the last?). I guess the "state focus" in September would be on GRASS 8.6,
conda, the new API, JSON outputs (etc.), and a bit about the Dev Summit
that will be in San Michele. I suppose the abstract and minor revisions can
be still adjusted later in the year.
