[STATSGRASS] writing grass format from R

Christian,

gstat nowadays has two reincarnations: (i) as stand-alone program,
in which case it can read and write grass data and maps; (ii) as an R
package (or S-PLUS library), in which case it operates directly in
the R environment. It cannot do both at the same time. However,
there is a R-GRASS interface. AFAIK it does not write graph results to
GRASS, but it can write R data back to grass. GRASS can make
the graphs, I'd say.

I'm not familiar to Mapserver.
