Today I downloaded 'sp' and 'spgrass6' from CVS (http://r-spatial.sf.net/),
steps here to enable more people to try:
# use empty password == <enter> key:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous at r-spatial.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/r-spatial
login
# fetch classes:
cvs -z3
-d:pserver:anonymous at r-spatial.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/r-spatial co -P
sp
cvs -z3
-d:pserver:anonymous at r-spatial.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/r-spatial co -P
spgrass6
# install from the same directory:
R CMD INSTALL sp
R CMD INSTALL spgrass6
Then I tried the new classes: INCREDIBLY FAST!
Seems that I can now start working with my satellite data
in R - thanks for this speedup!
best wishes,
Markus
