Hello,
I am trying to use raster files from the Global Ecosystems Database, said files
being in IDRISI type format. When I import them I use command dd with conv=swab
to swap the bytes, and I can verify that the positive values for the cells are
reasonable, but I am either losing or not seeing the negative values. I have
tried r.reclass to reclass negative values and positive values alike to a new
scheme of categories.. but still only see zero category and the same new
reclassed positive ( its obvious because I'm looking at elevation and bathymetry data )
cells. I have also tried to use mapcalc to bias the values to be all greater
than zero, but still don't seem to pick up those categories which should be
reinterpreted from the negative values. UNIX od command shows that I do have
negative values in my initial file imported with dd and conv=swab.
Help, suggestions, ideas would be greatly appreciated!
