r.cost

Hi:
 Im running r.cost.  The map has 4.8 million pixels.  I'm calculating
the shortest distance of each pixel to a single point on the map.  Does
anyone have an idea of how long this analysis will take?  It has run
3.5 days at a high priority.  After some significant CPU time at the
beginning (85%) it now uses very little (5-10%) and does alot of writing
to the disk.  The machine running it is a SUN SPARC II with 16M memory.
The process has a size of 11.3 Meg.
