This sounds like you have the orignal XDRIVER released with 4.0. You
need to get the latest from moon.cecer.army.mil.

|Thanks to those of you who responded to my request about d.mon yesterday.
|Now since that problem has been resolved, I have another one.  When
|I start a monitor while running d.mon, I get the following error:

|Enter name of graphics monitor to start
|Enter "list" for a list of known monitors
|Enter "list -f" for a list with current status
|Hit RETURN to return to menu
|> x0
|Graphics driver [x0] started
|X Error:  BadMatch - parameter mismatch
|  Request Major code 78 ()
|  Error Serial #225
|  Current Serial #226
|Please start graphics monitor <x0>.
|Error - Graphics monitor <x0> not running!
|Problem selecting x0. Will try once more
|Please start graphics monitor <x0>.
|Error - Graphics monitor <x0> not running!

|I'm running on a DEC 5000.  Any clues?
