display monitor

The top of my dipslay monitr is titled  `GRASS 4.0.  I would like to be able to have it also display the monitor number (i.e: x0, x1, x2, etc.), so that the monitor title is  `GRASS 4.0 x0'.  My problem is that I cannot find the file in which this is set.  

For background info I am running GRASS 4.0 on a SUN Sparc2, using the openwindows environment.
