I am having trouble bringing in SCS statsgo soils dlg files into GRASS.
 The data is ascii, utm.  The error message is as follows:


   ----- PHASE 1 ----->  Convert ascii dlg file to binary dlg file.

   ----- PHASE 2 ----->  Convert binary dlg file to binary digit file.


STEP 1: Open all necessary files
STEP 2: Read dlg header
STEP 3: Analyze
STEP 4: Write digit header
STEP 5: Write digit Lines and attributes
pid 863 (v.dlg.to.digit) was killed on an unaligned access, at pc 0x40bd5c

the error occurs using both v.import and v.in.dlg

any suggestions, or anyone also have this prob.
