MAPGEN make.label

Has anyone played with the make.label interface command for MAPGEN ? In my
playing, I'm trying to create a label for watersheds. I use a dig_cat file
as input into the make.label command (I want the name or the watersheds 
displayed). There's no errors, but when I show.sh, only the first word of 
each watershed label is displayed, i.e.:
	Cold Brook ->		Cold
	N Br Raritan River ->	N
	Muddy Run ->		Muddy

Is there a way around this ? Are my labels wrong ?
