Hello,

I have created a drainage network layer with r.watershed. I would like to
convert the raster layer into a vector layer. To do this I have tried to
use r.line. When I used r.line it failed because of some crowded cells. I
then ran r.thin on the network layer but found that the resulting configuration
of the streams was drastically changed from the orginal. Some of the branches
had been reduced to one stream while others became round shapes with little
resemblence to the orginal network.

Can anyone suggest a methodolgy for extracting a vector representation of the
drainage network layer that I have.

Thanks
