help with RIM please

Hello all,
I'm in in the process of getting my database into rim.
Rim works fine, I haven't been having too much trouble with it except
for reloading my rim ascii files back into rim.
In order to reload backuped files into rim, you must use rim, and not
v.db.rim, which is fine, I got that far. It reloads the data in, states
that the process is completed, but my problem is finding the reloaded
file. Where is this reloaded file kept? And what is it called?
Looking in the v.db.rim manual page, it says to make sure that you are
in the $LOCATION/rim/vect directory, which of course, I am. So that's
not the problem.
Looking in the man pages all you basically have to do is type
RIM> input '/path/to/your/textfile'
which works, but then when I list the database files, the file that I
just reloaded is not there.
Any clues? Suggestions? Good chili recipes?
Thanks for any help,
Christine
