Problem starting monitor

Try it interactively to start (1) und to select for output (3), usually
G40 should start AND select automatically, but I got also such errors when
have getting started from remote (SGI winterm) to the host machine (TEK).

And... use the right command syntax!
> d.mon help        gives a short help message 
> d.mon             will ask you interactively
> d.mon start=x0 select=x0
