Informix upgrade

To Grass User List:

We are going to upgrade our HP/9000-730 to a HP/9000-735, so I call
Informix about this upgrade.

We purchase 
        Informix-SE  for $1,237.50 now they want an additional $3097.50
        Informix-SQL for  $ 990.00 now they want an additional $2160.00
                                                              ---------
        for a total of                                         $5257.50

Our computer will only be twice as fast, why 3 to 4 times the price?
Does this sound right????
