I have labeled contour lines using v.digit on a digitized elevation map. Using
v.to.rast the map was converted to raster format. The lines retained their
values and the areas between are 0. What steps do I need to take to convert
this to a raster elevation map in order to run r.slope.aspect? 
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
